Another 780 thread!

They do a fine job of expelling all the heat that's generated out the back of the case, and trust me two of these generate a lot of heat. Wouldn't say they are that quiet, although they are no louder than the two Sapphire Dual-X 7970's that were in my case before them. Doesn't bother me though as I game with headphones and can't hear my system when I have them on.

I have 2x MSI GTX 780 reference cards in SLi and they are very very silent even in load ! For once I think the reference cooler nvidia made for GTX 780/Titan looks way cooler and sexier than any of the 3rd party cooling solutions :D

+1

Ref cooler is quiet and sexy. I have a Gigabyte 780 and can get +200 core +800 memory. Temps not over 65c

Agreed ^^. The build quality of the 780 with the reference 'Titan' cooler is exceptional. Saying that I took my stock cooler off to ghetto mod with Antec Kuhler :p. Temps are very nice now though.

the 7970s ref model coolers the hairdryer effect I was wondering would I see much of noise difference getting 2 ref model 780s?.
I have personally heard GTX780 2-way SLI reference cards and they are not bad at all at full load really but they do get hot 80C+, so some might decide to use Precision X or something else and set up a fan profile above the default nvidia driver fan profile, but then the noise will increase a lot, well i sure heard the difference even with headphones on. It's subjective though and might vary from game to game and how demanding that game is and how it might push the GPU.
