Another 980TI Comparison Thread :)

Hi guys. Looking at buying a 980TI card again and looking at two models (Unless there is better options sub £600?)

The two im looking at are:

Asus GeForce GTX 980Ti DC3 Strix

I'm then looking to get the Acer X34 screen early next year. Which are the best out of them two please? Very similar in price and reviews rate them both highly.

Got one here, cheaper than when i got it, (paid £575.99 at preorder), good warranty, very quiet even with zero fan turned off, runs very cool too.

Well as there is a £40 difference I wouldnt say they are similar in price.

Also dont overlook the Gigbayte G1, MSI Gaming and EVGA Superclocked that are all under £550.

If you did want to spend £600 on a 980ti then there is a new king on the block and that is the Xtreme Windforce edition on pre-order.

I'm just looking for the single best TI under £600. Ideally great cooling would be there as well. Got one shot to buy the best i can so want to get it right

My previous palits where great but always wondered if it could have had better...

The biggest thing that is confusing me is the higher priced TI's boost clocks are all very similar

The new windforce extrene is certainly a very interesting card. If i was buying now id probably go for it myself.

Was gunna say don't rule out the Gigabyte as an option. Shaping up to be a good card.

zotac amp has a 5 year warranty, only reason i chose it over the others as i want to be covered as 980ti's run hot, some stories of them burning out.


downside of the amp, if you watercool it, it will invalidate the warranty.

Think i will keep my eyes pealed for these new Gigabyte versions. I would be so gutted if i got another brand now and these come out and are epic clockers + great coolers
