Hey folks!!

Been out the PC gaming world for quite some time now. Looking to get a reasonably priced card for gaming. Nothing too mental, just something for Overwatch at a solid 60fps and a bit of light indie gaming. My whole system needs an update really but hey ho, one piece at a time.

Don't really want to be spending more then £200 if I'm honest...

Current specs (as far as I can remember):

ASRock z77 mobo
8gb DDR3
i5 3570k
Win 7

Can't quite remember what the PSU is, but it's modular and definitely 600+ watts so should be fine running anything.

Thanks to the cryptocurrency mining craze you won't find any decent cards under £400 atm. And by decent I mean mid-range.

Stuff like the 480/580/1060 that should be £200 ish are now selling for £400... and are out of stock everywhere anyhow.

Now is a *really* bad time to think about buying a GPU.

Ahhh apologies, quite a crucial detail to have left out...

1080 and probably will remain so for the foreseeable future.

You're probably aware that with the current mining craze going on, that a lot of retailers (OCUK included), but not all, have drastically increased their prices on a lot of cards, so not the best time to buy new.

My advice would be to buy a second hand 980Ti from the MM, they go for around £220-250ish.

If buying new, shop around.

I recommend you buy a card with at least 6GB ram. One game I play, Dishonored 2, can use (I use the term lightly) over 7GB (@1080) with max textures.

Maybe a Nvidia 1060 (6GB) would do you?
