OK so my cousin was impressed with my last build and now wants me to build a budget PC for him.

The main uses will be general web browsing, web hosting and possibly light gaming.

Budget is around £500 and he will need everything.

Do you think this is possible? If so throw your recommendations up!

I was thinking maybe a i3 configuration.

Jony's build looks very good but I'd maybe go a tenner over budget and get the 430w Corsair PSU and the CM 430 case w/o the PSU. That's just me though and the PSU with the case should do the job.

anuraj - I'm pretty sure he needs OS, monitor, speakers, M&KB etc since the OP said "Everything" :).

i3 Sandbridge > AMD Athlon X2 LOL
Actually SandyBridge i3 > than even the Phenom II X4 980BE at 3.7GHz :D:

But anyway SandyBridge i3 is not gonna be possible with the £500 budget...not when with monitor AND Windows 7 required within the budget as well. The AMD APU platform is probably the best option considering the budget.
