I've got a problem with cats.

My problem is basically we have one coming in through our cat flaps, eating our cats food, coming into the house and pretty much sleeping with us on some nights.

We haven't encouraged this cat, neither do we want this cat, it's not ours and it's not fair on our cat as this intruder eats all our cats food and then stays in the kitchen, with our cat looking at the intruder.

It doesn't help that our cat refuses to chase it away, but it's driving us nuts. We're having to keep Savannah shut in tonight, if we don't the other cat will come in and tease ours all night.

I came home from work this afternoon and went to the back garden and called Savannah in for her evening feed, she turned up and like a bad penny the cat that we are having problems with also showed up with her.

I just went out side and the intruder was sitting on our coal bunker, as soon as it saw me it ran off.

Any sugestions as to what to do ?? I want to get a super soaker and give the intruder a shower, but we can never get there in time before the cat hears us and runs off.

Cant you get one of those collars that lets the cat flap know its your cat and only lets them in?

I think we are going to. We just need to sort something out at the moment, it's driving my Mum nuts. She's just made a water pistol out of an old water bottle to shoot the intruder with.

Dad said that maybe this intruder and Savannah had a fight and Savannah lost and is now being controlled by this bully lol.

A puppy is not an option sadly, we aren't all going to be at home for it so it would be very unfair for us to introduce a dog to te family, plus if we did we would never see Savannah again, she is petrified of dogs (even puppies)

You could try some lemon juice in with the water. Cats hate lemon so it might make it more effective :)

Cool, I think we have a jiff lemon somewhere.

We've just had another cat in, I caught the intruder, a different to the one I was talking about first, it's one of the Neighbours cats as I've just chaed ithalf way down the road, it turned around and looked at me with evil eyes.

We have same problem with our cat. I'm afraid to say the only thing that stopped it was when the people who owned the tomcat (and your bully cat will be a tom imo) moved away. My dad shot it with a water pistol several times, and even managed to throw jugs of water over it, but it still came back when it thought we weren't in. Cats are smart and will think they can outsmart you.

the only option tbh

we need one too but the slight problem is our cats dont wear collars

and when they do they loose them in about a day tops

I've had this happen. All three of our cats are like "Meh", and in came the other cat eating their food, pooping in their litter rat, giving them its fleas and so on.

I shoo'd it away a few times and if it saw me in the garden it would run off. In the end I firstly trapped it in the house and scared the little furball half to death, then let it go. The next time I saw it in the garden I let lose full bore with a hose. Let's say it never bothered coming back.

Oddly my cat now defends the garden with vengeance. Any cat that even sets foot on the garden gets the seven bells of **** kicked out of it. Go Lord Splodge (the cat - yeah that's it's name - not me!)

Finely ground black pepper thrown in the offending feline's face is far more of a deterrent than a squirt of water. It does them no harm but they really hate it!

Dead Man's Stare.

RIP Behemoth. :(

:D

Yeh, the cat flaps have a special magnet on that hook to the flap and release the flap allowing just them through.. if a cat wihtout a collar on tried to get through that = Fail.

You win!
