Another Core2 Spec check please

Time has come to build another Core2 rig, so I would like your opinions on this setup guys

Case - Akasa Eclipse 62 Aluminium Case.
Akasa Maxi-View Side Panel for Eclipse-62 Case.
Motherboard - EVGA 122-CK-NF68 NF680i SLI, S775, PCI-E (x16), DDR2 1200/533/667/800, SATA II, SATA RAID, ATX.
CPU - Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail.
HDD Primary - 80 Gb Samsung HD080HJ SpinPoint P80, SATA300, 7200 rpm, 8MB Cache, 8.9 ms, NCQ.
HDD Secondary - 250 Gb Samsung SP2504C SpinPoint P120, SATA300, 7200 rpm, 8MB Cache, 9.0 ms, NCQ (x2).
768Mb BFG Tech 8800GTX PCI-E(x16), Mem 1800MHz, GPU 575MHz 128 Stream Process 2xDual Link DVI-I/HDTV.
Scythe Ninja Plus Fanless HeatPipe Cooler S775/S478/S754/S939/940 c/w 120mm Quiet Fan.
RAM - G.Skill 2GB DDR2 HZ PC2-6400 (2x1GB) CAS4 Dual Channel Kit (F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ).
Enermax Galaxy 850W EGA850EWL ATX2.2 Modular PSU.
Papst 4412 F/2 GL 120mm Fan - 3 Pin (x4).
BenQ FP241W 24"Wide format HDMI 1920x1200 Silver/Black

How does everything look?
I am thinking about getting some Corsair Dominator RAM instead of the GSkill, also maybe changing the Ninja for a Tuniq Tower, opinions on that aswell please.

Why the 80gb drive?

Why 4 x 120mm fans?....... case only takes 2, 1 more if you have a Zalman thingy that holds a fan.

The 80GB drive is going to be used just for the OS and any stuff that I can afford to lose on a format and reinstall.
The 2 x 250GB are just going to be setup as individual drives purely for space and I have 4 fans listed as 2 for the case ans 2 for the Ninja if I get that.

Only thing maybe swap the HDD for some Seagate Barracudas 7200.10, as from what i've read on here these are just below Raptors in terms of speed and performance. That GSkill ram will be sound for that system and from what I've seen on the OC database has some excellent OC'ing results with the 6600 so you could keep that ram and save £20 from buying the Corsair.

Because I've been in the industry a looong time and am paranoid (due to the first part) I suggest adding a second 80GB in a RAID1 with the first. Or just getting two 500GB drives in a RAID1.

I think you could afford to come down on your PSU spec too, 600W should be more than enough and will cost a lot less.

I will be looking at going SLI sometime early next year, so I want to make sure I have more than enough power without having to replace the PSU when I do

As for RAID, I have never even looked into it, let alone set one up, may be worth thinking about though, cheers

Isn't that 80GB SpinPoint slow compared to current drives? Just because you want to format the OS drive often doesn't mean it has to be a separate physical drive, just make an 80GB partition on one of the main drives.

Swap those three drives for 2 x 320GB Seagate 7200.10.

As for the 8800, what’s the point? They are too expensive for the improvement they offer, get something cheaper now then upgrade to a 8800 maybe in 6 months time when there is something that you'll notice the difference on.
