Another CPU cooler thread :D

Hi all, I am after a new CPU cooler.

Requirements:

• Less than £80
• Good quality
• Quiet
• In black or (something that will go with a green themed PC)

I have looked on OC and I have found this chap - Prolimatech Black Genesis CPU Cooler
It looks alright, odd shape I know. and I can get some decent fans to go with it, what do you guys think?

Coloured black, just buy a fan to go with it..

Might wanna read up which coolers fit or have problems fitting your specific mobo/case combination first, just to avoid any clearance issues.

EDIT: How about a black and/or green fan to go with it?

You'd need a H110 to say all air coolers.

H100i comes close, H100 is a bit worse and louder. Not a bad choice for that cheap though, the refurb.. if you trust them.

If i had to guess i'd say this cooler is potentially for someone else, as the OP already has an AIO cooler listed in his setup(which is more expensive than the suggested corsair h100).

Hi, sorry I should have changed my sig, I am currently using a stock intel cooler, I did have a H100i but I couldn't get the corsair link working at all, then I had a AIO custom unit from OC but the pump was just too noisy even at 5v, so thats going back today.

Whats the differance between the Prolimatech Black Genesis and the Prolimatech Black Megahalems? Both look great.

The price and the design? Either way you're going to need to add fans and both of them support 140mm goodness..

Thermalright Silver Arrow SB-E Black and white should also do the trick for much less than the Phanteks. Otherwise, if you like the look of the Genesis, get it as it's a very capable cooler. You can get the TY-147 BW or some other fan of your choice to go with it.

The Genesis with the Spectre's will look pretty cool if you ask me..
