Had a crash this morning, i shant go into details too much but the end results are below!

Essentially Landrover --> Van --> Red Car --> Blue Car.

Thankfully everyone walked away relatively ok, although to say i'm a little sore and stiff is a understatement!

Sorry to hear about it though, does this mean you ahve to pay for ever car in the crash since you went up there arse?

No, LR safety cut off kicked in disabling the vehicle.

and yes, my insurance will pay for the damage to all the cars :o

As in the landrover safety cut off - all cars have em, just have to hit hard enough to make them work!

Write off - bent chassis so possibly.

Money wise....i dread to think :(
 
Ouch, the land rover has given the van quite a hiding! Im suprised that much force was passed on to the jazz though, thats still been hit pretty hard.

What sort of speeds were involved?
 
I was doing approx 40, maybe a smidge less at the time.

40 --> 0 in 0.0001 seconds really hurts, no airbags in the landy either but the stearing wheel is remarkably squidgy!

Hard, 2 tonnes of solid vehicle sliding down the road @ 30-40mph!

Whats really lucky is where my bumper has pearced the back of the van (bwlow number plate) there is a gas bottle on the other side.....:eek:

Neither. I came round a bend, they were stopped in the road with no indication of brake lights or anything and i slid straight into them. Tis a windy road, wet too this morn and obviously very slippy.

My fault but least i wasnt on the phone, changing cd or anything - its just not enough time to make it stop!
 
Glad no-one was hurt, and you have my sympathies.

However that was a very dangerous thing to have done, we all make mistakes so I won't lecture.. as long as you learn and don't do it again! ;)

What where the other drivers like? no aggro I hope?

It doesnt really seem like he did much wrong though :confused:

Yes very dangerous.

However i wasnt speeding, was paying attention its just when i saw them stationary and braked i skidded, nothing i could have done.
 
I think you can safely say you won.
Did none of the cars have any brakes/handbrakes on? Surely 40mph cannot launch a van into a car into another car.
 
I am not having a 'go'.. It could happen to me tomorrow..

But, the lesson is "Don't go faster then you can see to safely stop"..

I think we all contravene this one, but you 'accept' the risk that you may end up in this situation.. or we'd all have to drive a damn sight slower..

When I said 'dangerous' I actually meant towards himself, I wasn't implying he was a danger to society!!!

Sorry if I came accross as preachy..

And to think I was composing a post saying how refreshing it was that you faced up to your mistake and admitted it was your fault and not that of a ninja badger/some diesel/whatever :(

It's never the ocuk'ers fault is it, and there is never anything they could have done..
