Another "deeply disturbed" column from the Murdoch stable.

Harsh comments about a child, and so public?! He has only shown himself up.

However that anonymous column labeled her much worse and I think that needs to be highlighted so it is identified on each occurance.

They do have a point though, we shouldn't be taking climate advice from a 16 year old with autism and no scientific credentials

What on earth does autism have to do with it?

People who have autism or Asperger's, that I've worked with, have tended to be brilliant analysts.

And for a girl with no credentials she's done pretty well to come to the same conclusion as nearly every single qualified scientist.

You lose your "child" privellege when you make yourself a public figure lecturing politicians in my view.

Can't have it both ways.

I do wonder if some other 16 year old wannabe activists are a bit jealous of her too? I mean she's not discovered anything, she's not a scientist she's just doing the same thing as them, she's one of many people who want to raise awareness of climate change and she's got famous parents/good PR which has helped launch her onto the world stage. She's now become a figurehead/celebrity because she was in the right place at the right time, on message and fits a sort of narrative that editors no doubt love etc... Look she's only 16 and she's schooling these politicians etc..

Well Aspergers doesn't exist anymore, it's all autism these days. If anything it probably explains when she's so focused on this... though couple that with the OCD etc.. and you've probably got an explanation for why she's going to the extremes of taking a yacht etc.. instead of say a last minute flight + carbon offset.

I mean fair play to her for making a point about it, unlike the various public figures who travel via private jet while simultaneously telling all the plebs to do more for the environment.

And for a girl with no credentials she's done pretty well to come to the same conclusion as nearly every single qualified scientist.

Not particularly, I think the vast majority of kids her age and younger are fully aware of climate change.

What an incredibly stupid and short sighted comment. Our governments have displayed time and time again that they'll take industrial growth over climate change any day of the week. This girl has opened herself to the world to speak for every child who wants the planet to have a future. She has opened herself up to ridicule, but everything she does is positive and for positive change.

Sky News is owned by Comcast, not News Corp.
I was about to post the same thing :p Let's hope they turn it around.
Quite,

Great to see the OP researches his facts before posting..... :p

Hmm...

In 2016, the program moved to Sky News Live relaunching as a nightly primetime program, which debuted on 25 April 2016.

Oops.

The Herald Sun and Sky News Australia should be deemed as disseminators of lies and hate and closed down forthwith.

Made some fixes for you as the news organisations you mentioned are in fact different entities and one of them has a different parent company... which seemingly has lead to some confusion.

And the rest of it was ok? It was a disgusting attack on adult or child that did nothing but personally smear her.

I didn't comment on the 'rest'?

You can argue that it's wrong to ridicule someone with an opinion in the basis of a condition like autism without resorting to "won't someone think of the children" line.

If Greta and her supporters want her to be treated seriously, in a political enviroment, then she can expect the same sort of scrutiny and ridicule that other poltical actors are subject to.
