Basically... Convince me...

:P

That's about it. I have had my eye on one for ages, and I am this close to purchasing. I don't play too many games, though I do play some. Is there really anything that comes close to it?

I guess I just need a prod :D

The only reason I went for two 2007WFP was because I thought two 2407WFP would work out way too much money to be spending ;)

Just got mine!
Using for photo editing and the like. The colour depth is amazing and the Black is Black.
No regrets at all.
Wish I could afford a second one so I could have a Portrait and a landscape setup - maybe next year!

so... close... to... pressing... buy... button...

I'm pretty set on buying it now. Will have to get Saturday Delivery, but it's only an extra tenner. Not a huge surcharge when you're spending 625 :p

Now all I need to do is shift my current monitors so I can afford it. My LG 1710B has served me so well. I'll be sad to see it go. The 14" Cellink (quality... ish) will not be so missed, though I think I might miss dual screen capability.

I can't resist the 24" behemoth calling me :D

I have both the Samsung 244T and the Dell 2407.

Samsung is better, but in terms of bang per buck, Dell wins :)

It's definately worth buying. Don't feel apprehensive (sp?) about buying it, when you load up a movie or a game for the first time, you will be amazed how awesome it is :)

JUST DO IT!

Well i debated and finally jumped in and bought one of these.
Not long set it up and so far detail looks amazing.Quality is true and colours are really vibrant.Just 1 issue.
I bought this mainly for gaming and have just tried cod2 to awful perfomance issues in the game.
Tried different servers and different settings but still same issues...stutters like hell.
Put my old 19"tft back on and hey presto, game runs fine again!
I am still messing with settings but it looks like a reinstall of drivers will fix any issues with regards to this 24" new monitor,at least i hope so.I have yet to try world of warcrfat, the game it is intended for, seen as though updates are being sorted.
But if the graffix driver reinstall sorts things out then yes,BUY 1...if i still have issues in games in its native 1920x1200@60hz then mines going back!
To the question below:No dead pixels here!

How are these monitor with games? also i would expect them to have a lot of dead pixels. If i pay 600 for a screen i would expect and want 0 defects.

Which reminds me. What is OcUKs dead pixel policy... especially concerning the 2407? Cheers

Sod it... Ordered... :D

Had to go with Saturday delivery. Can't wait! It had better show up my current monitors :p

Now all I have to do is find the money from somewhere

I feel I may as well chip into this thread.

I got my 2407 today, A02. Made in Czech republic.

First things first: Banding.

In gradient tests there is a small amount of vertical gradients ( I mean a tiny amount) on horizontal ones I couldn't see any.

Games, OMG, if the games support it its gaming nirvana.

Films, see above.

Windows, very nice. Maybe slightly too big, puts abit of strain on the eyes. Solution, sit further back.

Conclusion: Every time I come back to my PC a get huge smile across my face. Turns out money cant buy happiness. Buy it can buy a 2407. Which is happynesss in liquid crystal form.

I'm planning to get the samsung as soon as the other stuff i ordered from ocuk comes across. Worried about the reports of input lag, but going with the fact that the reports are mixed, some peopel do report that they haven't noticed it at all, and all the reviews say gaming is a pleasure on it.

What's your experience of it anyway? Present at all?
