Another Distro advice thread

Morning all,

I want to install linux on a usb stick to use as a recovery tool. Having only been exposed to Gentoo and the Ubuntu varieties, I'm not too sure what to use.

The main feature of the distro is that it MUST be bootable via USB port on ANY PC (so 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0).

I've tried googling and I've come across some distros that say "boots from USB2.0". Just generally confused really :confused:

Any advice appreciated

I think DSL might be a worth looking at

I followed this guide to install Knoppix to a spare 1GB USB key. It works very well.
