I am everywhere...
I basically preordered syphon filter for my psp of a seller from ebay. I paid for it immediately under buy it now button. He got a feedback of over 3000+ The game in question was released on the 14th of this month and when i emailed him a some few days back, he says the delivery might take up to 14-30 workng days  and it was clearly stated in the delivery terms but having said that, it will be dispatched way before then. He also promised to email me with the tracking number and stuff.

Now i have emailed the guy twice as per the delivery time as i dont agree with it and i didnt noticed it in the delivery terms etc. All in all the seller aint responding to my three emails i have sent....

My bone of contention here is the delivery time - i paid almost 10pounds or so for delivery so in theory i should NOT wait 17-30 working days! especially when it is claimed to be delivered by UPS. What are the options available to me?

Advice please. Thanks.

By bidding on the item you agree to the description of the item and also the terms associated.

If you went to a real auction and won an item for £100 and they turn round and say give us £120 you are not going to argue if you "didn't notice" that they charge 20% buyers premium. (Example only)

Simple.

If that's what it stated in the auction terms then it's your fault for not reading it properly basically... you'll just have to wait for the time stated and put it down to experience.

Guys guys guys! all im asking for is an advice, not bashing me. I honestly did not see the 17-30 days delivery time. If idid i wont buy the item.

Apart from bashing me, any other thing i can do? Thanks for NOT bashing this time.

advice on what though?

there is nothing that you can do really, thats what he stated, thats what will happen.

they are not bashing you .. that is there advice you should have read it properly .. what do you think you can really do ? complain to him for you not reading ir properly ? maybe give ebay a email

Hi i recently brought a item it clearly said that it would be 17-30 days and now its going to take 17-30days to come and this is not on! i would like either a refund or for you to make him post it quicker as i should not have to read the auction fully they should change there postage times.

I dont know, im thinking of contacting ebay, my reason - i paid 10pounds for delivery using UPS, delivery ahould not take 17-30 working days (that's more than a month).

The only thing you can do is wait really. If that's what the auction says, then as long as the seller keeps his end of the bargain and sends it within the quoted time, he's not been dishonest or done anything wrong. Also the £10 delievery, often sellers bump up the delivery to cover the auction fees aswell, and once he does get it, it may be sent first class anyway, and there's also packing to pay for aswell.

As dirty dog says, just put it down to experience and be sure to read everthing in future :).

A while ago I hastily bid on something that was cheap, and then found out that the seller didn't accept paypal when i went to pay, and wanted a postal order. So much hassle, when it only cost £0.50 with the same again for postage. Taught me to full read descriptions.

You obviously missed the post above yours.

You could email the guy saying you'll put neutral (or negative) feedback as 17-30 days postage time after paying a tenner does seem ludicrous.
However you've got to be careful with this, as if it really did state that clearly in the auction, then you don't really have a leg to stand on.

Thats life Im afraid mate..we're not bashing you, but theres precious little you can do.

Leaving bad feedback in that situation is totally unjustified. Also the item may well be being shipped from overseas hence the high postage and delivery time. This is common on ebay for some items and nothing wrong with it so long as the auction states the time and cost, which it did. Also feedback blackmail like that is explicitly against ebay rules.

you didnt pay 10 pounds for postage.
You paid 10 pounds for postage AND HANDLING.USPS might charge him only 1 pound, but he is charged for packing, travelling expenses, time, etc

The best thing you can do is pay and wait

Oh and btw you cant just leave a negative feedback.the seller will complain to ebay and an unpaid dispute will be opened.I dont think that you should excuse yourself saying that you didnt read the terms.

I paid 10pounds but i dont wanna make that the bone of contention. I think i am putting this down to experience and dont just buy stuff in the heat of the moment or on impulse anymore.

Like people mentioned in here already, there's nothing i can do for now other than wait out the delivery time.
