Just a little rant really, don't think there is anything I can do now. I recently upgraded an Android tablet and sold the old one on eBay last week. The buyer said he had problems with it crashing and then the headphone socket was loose (which I had never used so believed him) so I said to send it back for a full refund. He offered to pay return postage which I thought was pretty nice of him, it came back and the socket was a bit loose (in fact the whole thing seemed to rattle) so I refunded him.

So anyway, a couple of days later I got to have a closer look and I notice that the security seals are damaged, and also a tab that opens the tablet. The I check the serial number and it's a totally different one to the one on the box.  I guess even if i hadn't have refunded him then eBay would have sided with him if it was his word against mine. If I call him out now then all I'll get is bad feedback.

There really are some scumbags out there but before the "this is why I don't use eBay", I've certainly not had any bad experiences like this before and I have 500 feedback.

Cool story bro etc. but nothing I can do is there.

Yup, lesson learnt the hard way. The good thing is that it will be repairable so I won't lose out too much.

If you have his address why not pay him a visit with the goods and have it out with him face to face, if its not that far from you that is.

Couldn't be further/more of a pain to get to really, Northern Ireland! I'm in the south of England.
