Well just for a change thought the PS3 owners should have some more good news. Saints row is being released on the PS3 this spring. Not sure if anyone else said but i could not see it posted elsewhere.

Well as it seems if a PS3 exclusive becomes multi format its big news and means the end of Sony ( the second biggest consumer electronics manufacturer in the world) .

For some reason, when i saw that this morning...I wasnt too excited.
It's not that good. It was obviously going multi platform but I suppose the more multi platforms the better :)

If that's what PS3 owners have to look forward to then I pity them! Saints Row blows.

I look forward to playing it as I love all these third person free roaming games - non of them are a patch of GTA so far though.

It's innevitable that most games will go multi as the market share evens up - the only reason a game like this was exclusive in the first place is because the 360 was the only platform available for it (not including PC).

rubbish, saints row is good in its own right, i wonder if they will fix the framerate and popup issues
Nah, I didn't think it was that great, no matter what system it was on.

it did have xbox eclusive plastered on the box but it was still crap compared to even san andreas on the old consoles

had a few nice bits but nothing special

It's not a bad game. Some of the level 8 activities are a pita but then if you're not bothered about the achievements it doesn't matter!

As long as ports are handled well I see nothing wrong with games going multiplatform. The more people that play the best games (SR not included) the better.

To answer msmalls74; more titles going multiplatform will always hurt the more expensive console if there is no discernable difference.

I for one think Saints Row is an awesome game. Too many people overlook it just saying "It's a GTA rip off"

Some things it takes from GTA, you can;t really make this type of game and not take things from GTA. There are many aspects which aren't as good, but a lot of things which it took from GTA and improved on.

I think this is great for the PS3, something to tide people over until GTA4

Well its not exactly GTA is it now.

One of the best games I've played on the 360, though unless they enhance it for the PS3 it might start to look a bit dated by the time it comes out.

I just liked the fact it actually let you run people over. Pedestrians aren't all super athletes who can jump out of your way!

The point is that Saints Row is old news, and was hardly a great game.

When something like Assassins Creed or UT3 gets announced as multiplatofrm, then that is big news.

Due to the cost of each development cycle increasing dramatically ( if the press releases from the developers are to be believed, rather than just excuses for higher street prices) I think apart from the manufacturer backed / owned dev studios every independent game will get a cross platform release in one guise or another

It just depends on the studio whether they just do a basic copy and paste (ok maybe a little too literal but you get the idea) or they actually try and get the most out of the different techniques available on the other console.

Best game I have played on the 360 to date and that includes most of the AAA titles. But then I guess I have a slightly different opinion on a lot of stuff, to me GOW was boring, univolving and badly written, COD3 was just a COD2 rehash and PGR3 bored me to tears.. hey ho.
