Hi all,
I'm looking to build a new PC soon to upgrade from my previous build (Asus Z87 Mobo, i7-4770K CPU, 16GB DDR3 2400MHz RAM, Nvidia GTX 780 GPU, OCZ ZX Series 850W PSU).
As you can see I've not upgraded in a while and I'm looking to get the best value for money for what I need.
My focus will be playing recent and upcoming Triple-A gaming titles at 1440p 144hz (or as close to it as possible) in all games at max/high settings.
I'll also be looking to purchase a 1440p 144hz Ultrawide IPS monitor to pair with my new PC too.
PC budget: Between £2000 - £2500
Monitor budget: Around £1000
I will mention that I'd rather buy a pre-built machine, rather than buy the components and build it myself.
I have done some research online and so far I have the following in mind:
Case - COOLERMASTER MASTERCASE H500M GAMING CASE
Processor (CPU) - Intel® Core™ i9 Eight Core Processor i9-9900K (3.6GHz) 16MB Cache
Motherboard - Gigabyte Z390 AORUS PRO: ATX, LG1151, USB 3.1, SATA 6GBs - RGB Ready
Memory (RAM) - 16GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 3200MHz (2 x 8GB)
Graphics Card - 8GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2070 SUPER - HDMI, 3x DP GeForce - RTX VR Ready!
M.2 SSD Drive - 1TB SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2, PCIe NVMe (up to 3500MB/R, 3300MB/W)
Power Supply - CORSAIR 850W RMx SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET
Processor Cooling - Corsair H115i PRO Hydro Series High Performance CPU Cooler
Thermal Paste - COOLER MASTER MASTERGEL MAKER THERMAL COMPOUND
Sound Card - ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)
Wireless/Wired Networking - WIRELESS 802.11 AC1900 1,300Mbps/5GHz, 600Mbps/2.4GHz PCI-E CARD
USB/Thunderbolt Options - 2 PORT (1 x TYPE A, 1 x TYPE C) USB 3.1 PCI-E CARD + STANDARD USB PORTS
Operating System - Genuine Windows 10 Home 64 Bit
Average price for this build seems to be £2200 (inc VAT)
Monitor-wise I will probably go for the following:
Monitor - LG34GK950F (1440p Ultrawide 144z FreeSync 2) Gaming Monitor - £1099
Can anyone see anything I should change to make sure I'm getting the best "bank-for-my-buck" (or pound as it were).
Any feedback would be appreciated!
Many thanks in advance.
