Hiya again, I'm on for another spec request :)
Had a couple of threads but reckon I'm 100% definitely ready to order. I plan to build myself, but all I've ever done is added more ram to my ancient PC, so all new to this.

I'm looking at a budget of approximate £850 - this is for everything except keyboard and mouse. I have a ACER H233 monitor but reckon it'll need upgraded to something to take advantage of new pc. Also hoping for SSD drive.

Only purpose of PC is gaming, specifically SW TOR and maybe Battlefield 3.

I can stretch my budget buy only a small bit.

Hope you can help as the wife is going off her nut as I'm talking about my new PC all the time without ordering :)

Cheers guys in advance for your help

Could not fit an SSD in there with a top end GPU, but the only difference they make with games is that they decrease load times.

If you really want an SSD however, here is a different build with a slower GPU:

I'd go with something like Jordan's first build and grab a SSD somewhere down the line. SSD's are great but if you only spend 100 on a GPU then you will need to upgrade before very long.

I've taken Jordan97's build and amended the GPU, is the extra cash better spent on the 2gb card rather than 1gb? I realise i've went slighty over the budget quoted originally.

And if I was looking for a SSD, preferably to hold Windows7 and probably SW TOR, would this one do?

Cheers for any replies :-)

Ooh no! Stay away from OCZ! At least until they find a fix for their infamous BSoD error. Basically, most SSD's using the Sandforce controller (Agility and Vertex 3) have been having lots of system crashes and BSoD's.

The SSD that I put in the second build is the favourite around here.

Great, cheers for the heads up.
Think i'll wait till the new deals are up on Wed then post final spec check.

Cheers
