Another guild wars thread

Hi was looking at the guildwars store and i seen u can buy upgrades like an extra player slot. Anyway they have got a prophecies 1 million edition upgrade that gives you a load of items. Does this give you the items straight away or do u have to find them?

Ive got them all installed now but for some reason i cant choose the new classes for my phrophieces campaign only for the faction and nightfall campaign how do i link the campaigns together?

You can only create the new classes in their native compaign, eg ritualist has to start in factions. Once the character gets to a certain location (usually just after the starter island), then they can move over to a location in prophecies or nightfall.

same vice versa.

If memory serves me right they are kaneing city in factions, lions arch in proph, and kamadan in nightfall.

thats a shame it looks like ill have to be an old class so i can do 100% of all the campaigns :(
So lets get this straight if i complete prophecies it will give me the option of going onto factions to do there campaign and when ive finished that one it will let me go on nightfall with the same character.
If so when does it give you this option, when youve completed the final primary quest?

Plz let me know so i can start the game :)

You dont need to complete the game in order to travel to the other islands. In Propechies you will reach a place called Lions Arch, and when you arrive, you will receive a message telling you where to start the quest in order to go to the other campaign islands.

I just started Prophecies again, its the best one ive played imo, and i have all 3. Nightfall got boring quick with the Sun-spear point grind, and factions just didnt feel nice.

The same for moving between Nightfall and I imagine Factions will be the same, at some point there are quests to allow travel between the lands.

Docaroo, it's not that bad going in and starting from scratch, there are even heaps of people still in the pre-searing environment right at the start of Propecies campaign, getting to level 20 isn't too difficult either. Might aswell start again to relearn ropes and then have a rake around for the expansions on cheap, Nightfall is a good game in itself so it would be worthwhile getting back in to Guild Wars. :)

Its much quicker to level your character in Factions / Nightfall and then to transfer them over to prophecies, it'll only take about 10 hours or so of game time to do it.

However prophecies takes longer but is much more enjoyable i think, story is first class.

Ive just started this myself today (picked up Prophecies for a tenner), only played for about an hour following the training quests. One question, what is this 'pre-searing' thats been mentioned ?

pre searing is isolated from the rest of the game basically its noob land :)

edit: well in prophecies its isolated once you leave you cant go back unless you make a new char but in factions and nightfall they have noob islands where you can return to with your level 20 :)

Keep playing and ye shall be rewarded with the forbidden knowledge ;)

oh if any one needs a hand on guildwars just add jko Monkey to freinds list in game an i can help out :)

just trying to get my game sorted comps been acting up :)

I've started playing guild wars again now :) I'm only lvl14 :(
I managed to find enough people to group with for the story quests, altho there don't seem to be as many people online as before. I guess everyone is on nightfall.

Seem to be Having trouble getting any healers.

I just grouped with some lvl20's and one had 4x hero's, was amazing :)

I'm thinking of maybe getting nightfall now.

If you buy nightfall on it's own (& don't link it to a proph account), do you get all the prof in prophecies aswell as the new ones

I've ordered nightfall now :)

After reading on the site you get access to all the original professions aswell as the new ones and also new abilities etc. The Heroes thing also looks good.

There would be no point not linking the accounts though, would just cause effort for nothing.
I love heroes, they are so much better than your normal henchmen available as you've got far more control. Makes it a lot easier when you're struggling to scrape a party together also.
