Hi All

This one is aimed at those of you with multiple cars, how do you insure them all with out getting rinsed?

i currently have a BMW 330d as my daily, a heavily modified Golf GTI, and i have now picked up a R53 Mini Cooper S which im planning on tracking in the new year.

I would like to find the best way to keep them all insured but struggling with the quotes on the Mini, my BMW has all my NCB discount and the Golf is under a classic policy so is peanuts to insure, however the Mini with no NCB is coming out around £400 - 500 even on a limited mileage of 3000 miles.

any tips or specialists worth trying?

Some insurers will mirror your NCB across multiple cars. At one point I had 3 cars insured with the same insurer and NCB mirrored across them all.

Personally I've used Keith Michaels and Chris Knott for this.

Both Aviva and Admiral multicar, they let you mirror the NCB. These are the only two companies which i have used so i cant comment on any others.

Hastings mirrored my NCB when I first insured my Zed [full NCB bonus on the Mazda] the good thing was after 1 year the full amount became "real" NCB which I could then take and re-insure anywhere and not have to stay in a multi car policy with Hastings.

I've not needed to as they have always been cheaper for me than anyone else since.

My three are split between AXA (the S3 as my daily), and Greenlight (the MX5 and the TT V6).

Greenlight duplicated my NCB from my main car to both policies, which are both limited mileage. I think I’m paying around £550 for all three cars.
