these are 2 of the monitors i was considering.

one is VA and curved but more expensive, and the IPS flat and slightly cheaper. The LG has a review saying they got it for £270 in a recent sale, so the current price feels over priced in that case.

Well that MSI has got good reviews on OCUK. One thing with VA panels is they do provide high contrast. If I was a gamer I would consider a curved monitor.

thanks. my only concern is reading reviews on another site it appears due to this being VA + curved, there is minor screen bleed

Yes I also read some reviews and saw that, although some were saying it could be fixed by changing settings, although it seemed a bit fiddly.
