Another MSI 7970 Lightning BE Problem

No worries mate. Hope it sorts it out.
Just a note from me to say that I have had my lightning BE and have had no issues with it at all, put mine underwater and runs smooth and plays all games I through at it great. I have not overclocked it at all just now but will in time,hopefully you will get it sorted cause I think its a great card with lots of potential

Put it through its paces last night when I was bored of trying to sort the 2d issues.
Card managed 1250 at 1.24v but 1255 at any voltage was a no go. Looks like thats it absolute cap on air. Card struggles to keep below 70 with any voltage higher than 1.3v even with fans ramped at 100. Memory clocked nicely at 1750 (7000) with only a very light voltage increase.
This is almost identical to the old Matrix Platinum 7970 I had but that only hit 1230 core max and that needed 1.3v and with a max 1720 (6880) on the ram.
Not bad but want better - am going for the replacement option on the RMA. Not happy with the 2D issue and 'hopefully' may not be present on a second card.
