nice. sometimes i regreat having kids so young. Drastically restricts my car choice. Im 25, and for the last 5 years of my life ive had to have a car that as the only driver in the family, can take us all on holiday etc..

id have one of these like a shot. Nice purchase !

Totally awesome. About time somebody bought something decent we can all congratulate them on.

Great car, you'll have loads of fun in it :)

Rubbish, you should have bought a diesel!

Need to start talking hardtops with you soon, would like one for the winter :) Driving yours all those years ago around brunters has made me want one for ages. Alltho its a long way away from handling anything like yours .....

Yeah diesel 220 - more torques :p

Are you using it as a dialy driver?

They really are awesome cars.

My daily driver it is indeed :)

Should be a fair bit quicker though?

Altough I beleive Muncher has some tasty imported bits on his?

Nice, what is it like using it for a daily driver, well you may not be able to comment if you have just got it.

Very nice sam, just be careful out there, least you will have a month of dryish weather for it to get used to. Will have to take me out in it at the next meet.

Paul has spent a fair bit on his, and to be honest i think its not far off the power of the standard turbo.... His will be lighter as well

I will let you know at the end of next week ....

Ofcourse mate :)

One thing i was wondering, do i need to leave the car on for a bit when i pull into the drive to let the turbo cool down ? Or is it just a good idea to go very easy before you get home ...

Guessing a bit of both, take it slow before going home then a minute or two on the drive?

As far as I believe drive slower before turning the engine off as can crack the turbo? Believe this is the case with the VAG turbos anyway.

Plans -

Paint the wheels Black
Fit a Rear diffuser
Get a stage one kit (remap and downpipe)
Get a full Geo

Before all this im going to throw it into a decent garage for a service, im paranoid after owning that renault and the amount of times it went wrong :P

Just go easy on the way home, last few minutes off boost.

Please, please be careful, not just at first but for a long time! When you overstep the mark it will go, and it will go very quickly. Treat damp surfaces with maximum respect. I know it sounds patronising but I've seen so many people bin them as they can be so unforgiving.

Sounds good, where you taking it Thorney? Talking nearly 240 with stage 1?

A rear diffuser make any difference, or is it cosmetics?
