I do have one very minor problem tho, it appears that the coolant tank has the common problem. Its got a slight crack at the top so u can see a small amount of water bubbling from the top. Very small mind you .... Going to have to limp it home and keep checking the water i guess... Oh well bit of a bummer i think the tanks new are only like £15

How long you up here for Sam?

Couldn't you get some Araldite or something to bond the tank together? Should work if you go easy on it.

Heres a picture Andy

You can see where its perished ...

Someone has suggested a small amount of super glue on the top ..... It really is just a tiny crack and i rekon i could drive home fine without evan needing it to top it up. But im a bit worried it will go alltogether :p

Just go easy on the way home, last few minutes off boost.

Please, please be careful, not just at first but for a long time! When you overstep the mark it will go, and it will go very quickly. Treat damp surfaces with maximum respect. I know it sounds patronising but I've seen so many people bin them as they can be so unforgiving.

Heed the advice, my Elise lasted 3000 miles and 4 months in my care due to some diesel on the road and an over confident driver. Get on a carlimits.com day and take care!

Just been out for a drive with Tom :) Im sure he will come on and say he ****** all over a turbo but im not just risking it at the moment. It was crapping it down with rain too ....

Cheers for the meet up mate, that coolant should come in handy ;)

Sam

OK, Sam left my place about an hour ago, ive whipped off the very few pictures I got before the rain really opened up:

Very nice motor mate :D Can't wait to get a ride in it when it's dry and you've had more time to get used to it :)

Tom.

Haha :p i knew you wouldn't keep up on that section of road, i know it like the back of my hand, and i know my car very well too.....for you to try keeping up there in the damp with 10 hours of driving under your belt in a mid engined rwd turbo car i'd have had to give you a massive pat on the back (and a slap for being daft :p)

Exactley im not looking on driving like a twit after 5 minutes which is why you zoomed off. Nice and easy around the bends, no mid corner braking and nice and easy on the gas. (sound like an american)

Again thanks for the pictures they are awesome, make the wheels look graphite grey :D
