Another PS4. 4K Noooooooooooo

lol imagine watching 4K on youtube.

BUFFERING - 0.1 sec of video - BUFFERING - 0.1 sec of video - (hey look at this Advert in 4K that loads faster than the fastest internet connection) back to your 4K video BUFFERING - 0.1 sec of video LOL :D

Buffer face.

You can already stream 4k on Netflix just need min 13meg connection I heard. Also they say the new blu Rays have same capacity so won't require a hardware upgrade but a firmware one.

I do hope so , or my PS4 will need wings when it leaps out the window with force

What the hell are you guys talking about?

I've been playing Destiny in 4k at 120FPS ever since I bought it.*

*there may be an element of ******** to this statement.

Who cares, do you even have a 4k TV all you complainers?

(fwiw the Xbox one comes with a 4k hdmi cable and I believe has ability to output it....)

I have a question about 4K gaming. When we eventually get there - PS6 anyone? - will the sheer number of pixels eliminate the need for costly anti-aliasing?

I guess it's a wish for netflix seeing as a lot of people will be accessing their services through ps4's who might buy a 4k tv when they become mpore affordable/popular at retail. If indeed the current crop of ps4's can't output 4k (which i believe they can IIRC) that could be an issue. 4k content is a big deal for these providers!

PC's can't do 4K properly when paying games so........why would consoles get there before hand?

That's not what this thread is about. They are talking about 4K video playback. I'm sure the PS4 and X1 are both capable of that and it's a non story I highlighted days ago on the official PS4 thread. After investigation I can confirm that I officially don't give a **** :p

GPU is a modified AMD 7870 and that supports 4K video playback. It will simply be a firmware update and likely not high on the list of priorities at the moment as not many people have 4K screen and these content providers need somebody to drive the uptake. The consoles providing this would be perfect from them. Perhaps it's Netflix stirring it to speed up this process?

I'm about as excited about 4k as I was about 3d. I.e. not at all.

Give it 3-4 years when PC graphics hardware can render 4k with all the bells and whistles without requiring a small furnace....and the HDR standards are sorted out, and I'll think about replacing my TV and building a gaming machine for it (cos current gen consoles sure as hell aren't going to manage),

Besides that, my TV is comfortably the right size for the living room, and at sofa distance 4k wouldn't make any difference.

Most 4k TV's have the Netflix app anyway so it is not a priority feature IMHO. It would be nice if the PS4 could output 4k for certain indie games though that are not very demanding, that would be cool.

Not bothered one bit, don't own a 4k TV anyway and 99% of console owners don't either yet so I'm not sure what all the fuss is about.

My next TV may be 4k if 4k is the norm but I'm not purchasing another TV for at least 4 years, only just got my Sony W905.
