Sounds good, but how could you find out whether they are playing a game?

I've got pretty far tonight, set up a main page, a database and a register page. After I've slept I will do a login and profile page.

I've found out that if you go to the forum profile, if the person doesn't exist then it still has a page. Not sure how to get around this. Maybe I could do it from the title, but I have no idea how to.

I don't mean what they are actually currently playing on their PS3 like right now, what I meant is just a simple database entry that the user could edit him/herself to say something like "Currently Playing CoD4 and UT3 Multiplayer" so that other folks with those games might be interested in adding them as friends to join in online with.

Heh, was about to look for this thread.
I've had exams and stuff recently so I haven't had the chance to code since sunday.

I may just set it up so people can sign up and be on a big list, then add all the thing's I want to later. I'll have a lot of time this weekend so I could add more then.
I think I'll either get a link up tomorrow or tonight if I don't get too tired.

Ok, I've made it.
I'm pretty sure it will work correctly, but we will have to find out

You can register by clicking 'Join' and then log in straight away.
Then you can change your currently played game.

If you have any problems please email me at ocukpsn[at]yhack[dot]net or click the link on the website at the bottom.

I just realised it sucks in IE.
Damn you IE!

I've only tried it in Firefox 3beta1 @ 1024*768 and it works fine.
I'll sort all that out this weekend.

Now theres profiles for each person with contact information.
Email, msn, xfire, yahoo, aol and skype at the moment. You can choose whether to show them, and users have to be signed in to see them anyway.
Also added avatars, not sure why but it makes it feel nicer.

I'll try and do some more tomorrow.

I was thinking if you get time, could you add say 2 or 3 'now playing' titles - I play a bit of UT3/CoD4/R:FOM online depending on mood, I'm sure others play multiple games too.

Just an idea

Be nice if all 2 or 3 were displayed next to each other or under each other so you can see at a glance what another member is playing, not sure how easy that would be to do.

Loving the new update mate, uploaded an Avatar, took me a few mins to realise it has to be 100x100, but works a treat, nice one
