Another Q6600 OC

Hudzy I was having the same problem with my q6600 and p5q pro getting to 3.6ghz. Im currently at 8x425 = 3400mhz on around 1.475vcore but even with 1.5vcore I couldn't get 3.6ghz stable at either 400x9 or 450x8.

Whats a safe amount of volts to give the cpu? I read somewhere that it wasnt advisable to go beyond 1.5v so I was worried about doing this. Even at 1.5v temps in prime95 don't go above 60C as im on water. Anyone recommend settings to get to 3.6?
 
1.5 seems to be the recommended max from Intel but I've seen people push past it. They had pretty heavy cooling though.

Im priming now at 1.54 I think. Seems to be okay after a couple of hours its still going. Going to leave it for about 10hrs at least though. Still not going beyond 64c really under full load
 
Just a quick update :)

I've reseated the heatsink and I've now got highs of 67 degrees running Prime. 3.6 GHz with 1.5v. Massive improvement from 97 degrees.
