its windows xp all over again - people used to say how bad it is, now xp is the main os. i remember just after xp came out, directly upgrading over the top of 98 on celeron 400mhz 256mb ram (came with 32mb ram but afew months before xp came out upgraded to 256mb) machine, which was on the same 98 install it was bought with , which had very weird errors such as text files changing to image file icons and other stuff, and it actually worked quite well except the sound card which had to be replaced - its like this with vista now, some hardware/software is incompatible but after awhile all that hardware will be obselete/drivers will come out fully.
