Hey all,
I'm thinking of getting a new monitor for my gaming PC.
Wondering if anyone can
1/ advise a decent monitor 27"+ for under £250(ish)
2/ is curved screens just more of a gimmick than anything else?
 
If you're thinking about it I would advise to hold off a wee while. (Also you don't say how much you intend to spend?)

Just around the corner are two new things you might miss out on if you buy now.

a) HDR
b) 4K 144Hz

The first one is around the £1000 mark the second at £1800, but prices do tend to fall quite quickly once the first devices get some competition.
 
Unfortunately I have no where near enough spare cash to spend that much on a monitor :-p

I don't play as much as I use to, so only looking to spend around the £250 mark
