Hi. I might be ordering the Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 10 NCQ 250GB tonight since it's a bit cheaper been pick of the week, and i've needed a bit more space for a while now.

I have never used SATA drivers before, i have 2 IDE HDDs atm. I only want to use the new SATA drive as storage, don't want to install Windows or anything else on it. My question is - is it as easy as installing IDE drives? (plugging in and away). Or do i still need to use SATA drivers and things to make it work, even though it's only for storage?

My motherboard is the Gigabyte k8nf-9 btw.

Thanx for any help :)

So long as you plug it into the nForce 4 ports then you don't require drivers at all but you can just install them from the nforce4 chipset package :).
