Hello.

Is it possiable to fit an Adaptec SCSI Card 39320A-R 64-bit 133 MHz PCI-X, into a std PCI slot on a DFI LP Sli-D Mother Board ?

I really hope so because i've just brought one...

Thanks in advance,

Rich.

Yes it will work fine although bandwidth will obviously be limited due to the 32Bit/33Mhz PCI bus :( . The super low and important RA's of 15k SCSI is hardly effected if at all on a 32Bit/33Mhz PCI bus :D

Sell Your Adaptec 39320A Card ,Get a pci e SCSI card will work perfect with your DFI LP Sli-D in the 2nd pci e slot @ 8x8 config
Lsi megaraid 320 PCI E -2e

just picked this up

Cheers for the advice lads, i'll give it a bash when i get it as i picked it up for a good price.. I did think about getting a PCIe card, But i ordered another 7800gt for Sli while i still could. I'll let ya know how it goes speed wise as i can get hold of New Segate Cheeta 15k 36gig 68pin scsi drives for £60 :D

Cheers,

Rich.
