Hi all, I recently discovered the joys of using headphones while gaming (BC2), but my £3 ASDA headset hurts my ears like a ******* and isn't very loud...well it's just rubbish. Due to remembering I had some dead RAM to RMA I figured I'd put the £30 towards a new headset. Comfort is the main thing (I have big sticky-out ears that make the ear-hook ones a no-no), but with quality and volume close behind. What would you suggest?

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Asus Xonar DX/D1 with a pair of Goldring DR50s with a desktop Mic, advised to me by Uriel, installed earlier, could not be happier.

You can't quite write how good it sounds it's just real high quality, watching a DVD is like being at the Cinema.

That will cost you best part of £75, worth it though.

Otherwise minus the soundcard pick up a pair of DR50s, 377s, SpeedLink Fellows or Steelseries 4H, all can be had for under £30.

Yeah I was considering the steelseries 4h as I'd heard they were good and also the large earpieces might be good for my large ears :p Has anyone had any experience of them?
