Hi all,

Looking to see what collective knowledge out there on what the current 'best bang per buck' is TV wise? Looking for around a 65" size, Smart TV, 4k with decent sound. Budget is around £600-£700 ish.

What's the best buys out there just now? Any decent cut price deals? I don't mind buying slightly older models which are possibly still acknowledged to be good performers if that makes sense? And not hung up on brands either, just looking for the best deals out there to choose from.

Cheers in advance for any suggestions :)

Finally plumped for a C1 55". Popped into a well known electricals place yesterday for a look at the 65 and the 55 and decided that 55 was the best size for me. No C1's available in stock though so went home and had a search online. They appear to be getting thin on the ground in many places probably due to the C2 coming in this year now.

Finally picked one up online and it is delivered on Saturday, looking forward to getting it up and running.

What's your viewing distance?

I say that's quite far from a 55.
I sit about 2m away from a 65 to get the "immersion" haha

I think it's all fairly subjective. I read up about guidance on distances relative to screen size so I'm aware of what the recommendations are but to be honest we currently have a Panasonic 42" LED and find it's fine to view. So a 55" is going to be an improvement even at that same viewing distance

I'd have gone 65"

Watch movie that is 2:35 and your 55" is tiny
