Any chance you've got a spare HDD or even an external one you can rip apart to use. HDD prices as you've probably noticed have rocketed over the last couple of months and buying new takes a massive chunk out of your budget.

If you don't have a spare HDD how about this. Included SSD as it seems silly to buy a mechanical HDD new at these prices!

Use the code "cmdouble" to get £20 off, presumably it is still valid and add in a CPU cooler such as the Gelid Tranquillo.

No m8 going to have to get a new HDD :( not really bothered about the ssd atm either
looked at the Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB will do ok
any input on the AMD Bulldozer FX-6 Six Core and maybe the Asus M5A99X EVO AMD 990X to go with it ? will the Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB be ok with it ?

Well I would try to pick up a HDD on the members market if you can. Should get a 500GB drive for about £35-40 I think. Seems silly to me to spend £70-80+ when you could just get a SSD now for OS and a game or two then add a mechancial storage drive when prices come down. Yes the RAM will work fine with AMD FX-6 but I would recommend you go down the route of Intel Sandy Bridge. The i5-2500K is by far and away the best bang for buck with gaming and considerably out performs the FX-6 whilst using less power!

As you can see from the review below, the FX-6 is well behind the i5 2500K and even slower than an i3-2120 dual core and old the much older Phenom II X6's!

Looks OK, but you need to get the i5-2500K if you want to overclock the CPU on a Z68 motherboard. If your not interested in overclocking then you could get a cheaper H67/H61 motherboard and put the savings towards a Radeon HD6870 or GTX560Ti. That's a decent price on the 6850 but if you shop around you can get a EVGA Nvidia 1Gb GeForce GTX 460 SuperClocked Graphics Card for £103.99 if you want a NVIDIA option. Both are fairly closely matched but the GTX460's overclock amazingly. Also the Cooler Master Silent Pro Modular 500W is £15 cheaper and will be fine for either setup. Remember to add the code for £20 off.
