Was going to run a poll on this but have absolutely no idea how to do this. Am wanting to upgrade my 17" TFT to 19". Have read the other threads and know the main models to go for however i'm still stumped as to whether to go widescreen or not. I hadn't even considered until i saw i could get the Acer AL1916WS for £142 delivered. I mainly use my pc for browsing and don't really watch that many dvd's however i will be moving my pc into the spare room (the box room is to become a nursery) and widescreen would probably be a nice option as i could then watch dvds and maybe stick a tv card in the pc. Is this too good a price to turn down? Of thoses of you who have widescreen how does it affect browsing desktop etc? doesn't everything look stretched. I play a few games like FM2006, HL2, Pro Evo etc and from having read various threads i know that some games don't support widescreen but there is usually a work around that, can someone explain what 1:1 pixel mapping is? Finally is DVI really much better over VGA? I see a lot of people raving about the Hanns G but it is dearer than the Acer? So suppose the question is Widescreen or not?
