Another vista thread, SORRY :/

you should find that vista recognises raid without drivers, my ols xpsp1 didn't even see sata without extra drivers but vista didn't need my mobo cd at all as it already had all the drivers needed included!

Unless you plan on upgrading often, a copy of Vista OEM for you each still comes out cheaper than one copy of retail anyway.

What are some recommended Antivirus programs to use with vista?

Avast Home edition is free and works with both 32-bit and 64-bit Vista, damn good too :D

Sweet thanks. How is it on resources?
Very good, or was when I was using Windows a few months back. As with all virus scanners though, turn off scanning files on access, just scan them on modification and creation.

As Caged said, tis one of the least intensive AV apps around, and definitely my preferred choice.

It's worth downloading just for the quality voice that announces that "THE VIRUS DATABASE HAS BEEN UPDATED", try that at 5am when you've left your speakers on loud, thought I'd woke up on Enterprise... :p
