Another warcraft 3 patch problem

Iv tried reinstalling the game but i get

Blizzard PrePatch v2.70 compiled on Jul 7 2003
This program patches Warcraft 3

Log created at 12:48 pm on 01/02/2010

Registry error loading key 'Warcraft III\InstallPath'
The system cannot find the file specified.

RESULT: Prepatch failed

Iv did this registry fix thing but nothing

Any ideas?

I found that on vista and now win7 I couldn't install WC3 from disc. What I done was register my keys on battlenet and then downloaded the digital versions. These installed without a hitch.

I have installed the game ok via disc. I isntalled upto the latest 1.24B patch and now i want 1.24C. I remember on vista i had trouble like this before but i got it fixed by remakeing the registry key.

Nearly got it working. I made my register file key in the wrong place.

coming across another problem

When i create a game i cant see any map options. Like add bots etc
Also i cant select options, nothing appears when i do and i cant go back.
