As my next case will most likely be able to hold a bazillion hardrives, i'm looking to add to my set-up to give me the best possible all round performance.. I currently have one WD 320GB (Dual platter). The main uses for the PC are as follows;

Photoshop
Gaming
Internets

Now I had partially settled on a couple of 320GB F1s in RAID0 for my boot drive, and maybe a 1TB something or other for media & photo storage. However I then need to setup a seperate scratchdisk solution for photoshop, which I was tempted to go for a couple of smaller drives in RAID0 for. However i have no idea if this would be well suited to purpose, as i'm not sure how exactly CS3 hits the scratchdisk.

The other thing i would like to improve is game loading times. One option is to have a seperate Games drive, which may be faster in the sense that it would only have games on it, and thus wouldn't be brought down by the usual stuff installed onto your primary drive. Would also help keep the OS drive clean to keep that ticking over nicely, but then I wouldnt have thought it would be as fast as the games being installed on the same RAID0 array as the OS?

I mean i could go for RAID0 for my OS, another RAID0 for my games, another RAID0 for my scratchdisk, and a 1TB for storage.. But that seems a little stupid, and i don't even know if it's possible without some major expense. So i'm after some suggestions!

Backup is taken care of by another method, so any storage in the PC is for files currently being worked on or recent, music, films, that sort of jazz.

Oh and i have space for a seperate controller card if needs be.

Cheers :cool:
