Another which monitor, but with a twist.

I am looking for a monitor to go with my 13" 2014 macbook with retina display.

The main use will be for Photoshop but I am also looking to use the monitor for some game playing but that will be from an xbox one rather than the mac.

27" is the size. The question is do I go 2560 X 1440 or do I go for a 4K2K?

Budget £300-£350.

I find this monitor stuff confusing so all help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

If your budget is £350 you should go for 2560x1440.

Can I get the reasoning behind it please.

Also which 2560 x 1440 monitor? I was thinking either the Acer B276HULA or the BenQ GW2765HT.

If I did go the 4K route it would probably be the Dell P2815Q 28" 4K.

The Dell 4k screen is TN and does 30hz, the same money will get you a decent IPS 2560x1440 screen.

Sorry if I appear lazy but I have never bought a monitor before so it is all new to me. Yes I can read the specs but that does not tell you what they are actually like.

It's not as if you can walk into a showroom and compare them side by side.
