Sorry for another one of these, I know there's a few!

I use my PC for a mix of gaming and productivity, I also work from home 1 day a week. I'm currently using a Logitech MX Master 2, which is fine for productivity, but not so great on the gaming side, so I'm after a mouse that leans more towards gaming.

Requirements:
£100 budget
Sub 100g
Wireless
Not fussed about RGB or a bunch programmable buttons

So far I think I've narrowed it down:
Logitech Superlight Pro 2 SE (nice short name) as I can get that for £90, it's a nice weight, not too flashy, and has a high DPI
Razor DeatherAdder V3 Pro, also £90, similar in design to the Logitech

On paper the Logitech is better, higher acceleration, IPS & DPI, although not being a competitive FPS player I doubt I'd notice the difference.

Or should I be considering an outsider, like the Endgame Gear offerings from OC:

Thanks in advance.

The end game mouse does look like at decent option and is on offer but regardless do you really need anything more then 6400dpi and 6 to 8 button mouse ?

I'm using a Xtrfy M42 Wireless.

Light, wireless (or cabled) on board RGB lighting control and sensitivity options (no software required). Has weight balance adjustment on bottom too.

Two back plates (palm humps) included, a smaller and a larger one.

Has a 16,000 DPI optical sensor.

Costs about £35.

For the money I can't recommend it enough.

I moved from a Razer Deathadder elite and couldn't be happier.

I'm not overly fussed about loads of extra buttons, but with the MX 2 having a DPI of 4000 and a weight of 145g I imagine a 44,000+ DPI 60g mouse would be significantly better for games like Cyberpunk and the like

You don't need a crazy high DPI mate.

I play PUBG at a reasonable level, nearly 4000 hours and you don't need it.

If you are playing something like Cyberpunk or anything outside of some form of competitive FPS you definitely don't need it.

I would focus on weight, battery life, aesthetics and by far the most important is ergonomics.

With regards to ergonomics as you are ordering online you won't know, but Google the mouse you are interested in, eg is this Logitech X good with small hands/big hands etc and see what Reddit posts say. Also consider whether you have a claw or palm grip

That stuff is WAAAAY more important than DPI , it's pretty much a BS marketing thing which is meaningless when you get past a fes thousand anyway which will be pretty much any modern optical mouse.

Thanks for the response, being in engineering I went straight to comparing specs.

Aesthetics wise, I don't particularly want something full of buttons, sharp angles & RGB. I use a palm grip, and the MX2 with the shape and the thump rest is really comfy, I don't get any fatigue in my fingers at all, it could do with being a little lighter though. Battery life is a concern if its a USB rechargeable battery, doesn't matter if it's AA/AAA as I've got dozens of rechargeables knocking around. Does PC World still stock mice & have them on display?

Ok in that case just look for something the same shape as what you have.

I have a Logitech g303 shroud, which would not work for you at all, but if it helps usb internal rechargeable battery last about a month. And I use it a lot.

By the way I know I sound like sad ****** with the amount of time I spend playing games but it's only when I'm skiving at work, I don't play games much in my own free time, believe it or not. You could in a way argue I am a professional gamer lol.

I won’t tolerate anything razor purely on the basis that Synapse software is straight doggie do…

The Logitech is pretty small but very light, I’m thinking about the same mouse but i wish you could add weights to personalise it. Given you want super fast and light i assume more fast shooter games so worth saying the layout with just a few buttons to the side is pretty optimal for tactical/lethal/equipment binds in my view. I think the non pro can be had for £60 right now and honestly it’s probably good enough.

Side note I went with a steel series which was pretty good for a while but it’s getting pretty squashy on buttons after not a huge time now.

I don't rate Razor mice at all these days.

They used to be excellent, maybe 10+ years ago, sadly I think their quality has significantly dropped.

Totally agree plus the software absolutely ruins it for me…
