Another XBOX360 repair problem!

Hi folks, needing some advice.
I've been given a 360 and am looking to repair it. I've been through most of the faq's etc but wondered if anyone has succeeded in resurrecting one with my issue.

When i plug everything in the psu is sitting with an orange light, i press the power on it flashes green then red then back to orange.

The unit itself has green light for a split second then off.

Just wondering whether it's worth spending any time on it or skipping it.

Try with another PSU?

The psu is working with another xbox so don't think it'll be that unless someone has had a similar experience.
