The BBC's Charles Haviland in Colombo says that the story has made headlines in Sri Lanka, with the Sri Lankan Daily Mirror's concluding: "The chicken came first; not the egg."
eh? they just talked about an egg inside the mother chicken

In my mind this is the correct answer, but I find it hard to convince people of this when this one comes up

Why? surely the conversation goes something like.

"What came first, the chicken or the egg?"

"the egg obviously"

"yeah but what laid the egg then?"

"a dinosaur"

"oh yeah..." *silence*
