Bait traps near where they are entering the house, they take the food from the trap back to the nest and it should kill the nest after a couple of weeks (it's poisoned and they share with the queen and co).

I got some gel stuff a couple of years ago that you put down close to where they come from, this stuff has some bits in it that the ants take to their nest and it wipes them out

I forget what it's called though :/

got this problem in my conservatory, those ant bait stations work a treat. they kill the nest too.

These work very well. Can't remember the make, but I used to use the little black ones with a few entrances on them. You just break the tabs to open the entrances, lay it down and play the waiting game. After a while you'll literally see a trail of them dead leading right back to the nest.
