I really like this case except for the overkill amount of drive bays in there! You just don't need that many these days! Rather it be a removable space to fit more rad space.
Agree totally.

Bottom section is crying out for a triple/quad rad. Middle section should be removable so you could fit a res/pump.

I'm a bit surprised Antec have been so proscriptive with their design.

I'll stick with my 182 for now, though I wish it was a 183 ;)

At the risk of being unpopular, am I the only one who doesn't particular like the look of this case?

Don't get me wrong its definitely a step in the right direction for Antec, just a pity they had to work through all the wrong directions first! :-)

I mean other than 21 more HDD bays, what does this offer over, say, the 750D?
I know there's a free PSU, but it seems like a pretty weak argument for a case if you have to use that as a selling point.

Still, each to their own, might just be me!
I didn't particularly like the Phanteks case either (it's looking better now though).

I'm currently still using rjk's old TJ11...

Yes all those drive bays slight overkill there, looks like a hack saw would have to be used if you were going mad with rads. If the drive bays could be taken out tool free it would be a far better proposition. Chopping bits out of expensive case such as this is not what most would want to do.

Just had a good look over Lees sample 1900
must say, very impressed. Antec have really stepped up their quality with this case. Worlds apart from their older offerings.

Looking forward to seeing more from them

We have two of these PSU offerings left. This is only being advertised on the OcUK forums and is exclusive to you guys,

This case or the Phantek Enthoo Primo? Which would you pick for a WC setup? Kinda set my heart on the Primo but this looks nice also.

650W Plat.

If you (Antec) already have a sample case with you, could you take some shots of the inside - namely drive bays, front fans, top of the case (inside and outside), front with panel off. Might satisfy the curiosity of a lot of people, as there are no reviews out. Official shots don't show any detail of these.

Also:

Can you confirm whether the panel / shelf separating top and bottom PSU bay and rearmost stack of the secondary HDD bays extends over the frontmost stack of the secondary HDD bays. If it doesn't, then presumably a 360 radiator would fit up front, as there appears to be plenty of space, and 3x120 fans. It's unclear from the photos.

Is the strut at the back of the primary HDD stack and 5.25" Drive Bays structural reinforcement for the case, or is it purely mounting for the former .... or maybe the HDDs and 5.25" bays aren't attached to it at all (unclear from photo)? Is it / the main HDD bays removable?

Thanks.

the upper chamber floor does all all the way to the front I'm afraid so cannot fit a rad in the front. HDD cage/frame is not removable.
As for images I will get them up on Thursday for you. :D

I'd have loved this case five years ago when I had 8 internal HDD's in my old old PC.

However, nowadays I don't see much use for the design. I'm sure it's high quality and all that, but I still don't see what's the benefit in putting only the PSU and in a separate compartment if it's already facing downwards. Still, maybe some people like this. I guess the airflow is about average too.

I would say one thing, if your going to put in a WC loop, then the Phantek case beats this into severe submission. While this is a great looking case, i just dont think personally its worth £230, even if you are lobbing in a free PSU to sweeten the deal.

Take a look at the Phantek, then look again, look what it offers you in terms of flexibility for a custom loop, then look at this Antec case...

Good try Antec, but i rate it 7/10 - almost there, but try harder :)

As others have mentioned, it seems quite flawed for gaming. Seems more suited to being a home server or for someone who creates insane amounts of digital content .... or someone who torrents 24/7.

If the bottom compartment was 3-4cm taller and had removable hard drive cage, it'd be perfect for a triple or quad radiator ... it appears to be far too low though. Again, no idea why the front hard drive cages weren't made removable ... then you could have had 240-280mm up top and 240-280mm in the front. If Antec release a revision addressing these issues, it could be a real winner. As it currently stands, I'm not sure there'll be too many takers.

Hope those changes are made in future. It'd nice for there to be another viable competitor to the TJ07 / Enthoo Primo / 900D.

Thanks for taking the shots, Ace.
