I have just bought one of these and the psu sits on the bottom so my question is would it be better to put a hole in the case floor where the psu fan would be or just turn it over, I thought with the hole method it will be getting air from outside the case, any help really appreciated, thanks..

No need to cut the hole, i have this case also.

best option is to pop the psu in so that the fan faces the top of the case. the fan on the psu pulls air in-through the psu unit-out the back of the psu.

i found mine to be a lot cooler once i turned mine upside down :)

If you look at te back there should be mounting holes. There's some lower ones and higher ones. Turn your PSU upside down, so the fan faces up, and align the holes with the PSU.

Are you saying that you all have the psu's upside down with roughly that 10mm gap from the floor?

Is that enough?

Apart from the mounting holes you should also see a little 'ledge' pressed out of the wall which it rests on. When you get it all lined up it's gripped quite tightly.

Face the fan up - why not ? Works fine.

in my 300 is an antec EarthWatts PSU with an exit fan only so meh... up or down makes no odds

if i did have a psu with intake fan it would sit upside down for sure, that way it could suck the hot air off my sound card \o/

lol i would remove the side and place a large fan on it with a thin mesh between the fan and pc, works great with my m8s he only gets like 50-80c on is AMD phenom 2 quad 3.2 ghz when running crysis:eek:

dont believe me, its a very very powerful fan if he turned it on any higher it would move the pc lol:D

I worried about this when I downsized from a Cosmos S to the Antec 300. Read various statements about it online, and came to the conclusion that I'd risk it and put the PSU in fan facing down, and its now been churning away for two months with no issues whatsoever.

I couldn't face putting it in the other way up, as it would wreak havoc with cable management.
