IMO, if younger people want design, I think they should buy a Dremel and start modding their cases to look "different".
Why bother if you like the look of one of the cases already? When I was younger I would have just made a mess of it with a dremel.
Vinni3 wins this argument IMO.
alexhull24, if you would have made a mess of it then so be it.
A case that's different/modded should be representative of an individual's skill, not how big their wallet (or dad's wallet) is.
Gone is the day when a bit of plexy, some fibre-glass matting and filler could transform a case both for performance and aesthetics, now it's all about who does best cooling or noise control out of the box.
Cheap cases dont get a look in anymore, and thats a shame, people slate the A300 and I've no idea why! It's a great blank canvas, perfect for making your own box of tricks look the way YOU would make it.
What happened to DIY? Where has our individuality gone?
We've been spoon-fed eyecandy for so long that imagination has no part in proceedings any more, the exception to this being scratch builders and the likes of Bill Owen from across the pond.
If you can't mod a case then I dont think it should be up to case manufacturers to produce monstrosities like that bat-man head looking POS, or the A600 in question. Not only does it blunt our imaginations, but it besmerches the manufacturers reputation too! This thread is here to slate antec.
My point is simple if you can't use a dremel to make a case your own, then learn. Don't expect a manufacturer to get it right for you, becuase they will NEVER get it perfect, so dont expect it.
Learn to use your hands folks. Day-to-day tasks around your home become easier, and problem solving using 'bits-n-bobs you had around' becomes easier too. Practice makes perfect, so just try it on a £15 e-bargain first.
You might better antec at the very worst!
