Well, this is the second Antec High Current 850 PSU that has failed. The first one went back straight away for power failure. The second has been in my machine for a year and now that one has the same issue.

I've got my spare 500w Tagan in my PC as a backup..

Can anyone recommend a new PSU around the £100 mark. I would like modular but its not 100% needed.

I'm looking at this:

I've read that the SeaSonic X760 SS-760KM Modular 80 Plus GOLD is very good but Overclockers dont stock SeaSonic for some reason....Oh and its £140!....

Just as a matter of interest, what are the essential things to look for, to determine which is a better Psu. What comparisons to take note of.

Its well reviewed at say Jonnyguru/Hardwaresecrets helps (it has been when it had the previous Green fan and a different name)

That it is a Seasonic OEM model.

Are the cables ok on the Corsair....are they the braded type or are they flat?

If you click my sig you can check my build log which shows some of the cables from the PSU.

The main cables for the GPU, And motherboard power are semi braided if you could call it that, the SATA and molex are flat.
