what r my chances of the wires being able to reach to their individual components? im looking to buy a antec case and fill it with a stock computer (only graphcis card is not stock).

i have no experience in building computers so i wanna take it down to a shop for a person who knows what there doin to work on it. dont want them having the hassle of being unable to fit wires.

RE: P182

It depends on the PSU and motherboard you'll be using.

Also, are you intending to run the cables behind the motherboard tray (as is common with the P182)?

If so there's a good chance the PSU's 24-pin ATX cable will be long enough (assuming a modern PSU and motherboard with the 24-pin ATX socket on the right hand side).
You will however probably require an 8pin power extension cable as the socket for this is often located in the motherboard's top left corner.

Hello.

Fitting your components is a lot easier than it looks, and for the most parts things cannot be wired incorrectly! As long as you remember a couple of basic rules like "if it doesnt fit, it doesnt go there" and "be firm, but not heavy handed" you really will find it a piece of cake. After all, the only way to learn is to get in there and give it a go. These days a lot of components are colour coded and labeled. If you have a quick look round you could find a million guides on how to wire things togther. It really honestly is just a case of pushing things into slots and plugging wires into small plugs. There's no soldering or cutting involved!

As for those specific cases, they are quite large. As mentioned above, you might well need a 20 or 24 pin (depending oh the age of your PSU and more specifically how many holes are in the white molex that attaches to the motherboard) extension cable found:

ad you might need a 4 pin CPU power extension cable, as:

Only way to find out really is trial and error. or get out a ruler and have a look, but for the sake of £10 (and they are needed 90% of the time) it might just be worth getting them. If you dont use them you can always sell them on.

i *** also like to ask whether the 182 is able to prevent my grpahics card from overheating again, cos my previous 2 cards have died on me becuase i didnt have a proper cooling case.
