Antec 900 Good but few pointers

just thought id share these pointers for you guys, had the following problems with this case with my setup!

THE DFI Lanparty Nf4 Sli fits ok in this case, but when a tuniq tower 120 is sat on it the clips to hold another fan on the side stop the side from closing and the rear 120mm fan stops you fron using the onboard sound module.

Just thought id share if anyone else was thinkin of this case for there setup.

Apart from those its brilliant case!

If u run a sound card, and a zalman cooler u will be fine.

For graphics card installation is there enough clearence? I wondered because some people have had problems with clearence saying the DVI won't fit? due to the card being on the top PCI-E slot.
 
personally this isnt a problem!

Seems fine on my XFX Geforce 7900GT Xtreme Edition.

Only certain cards that hav that problem i think ???

iirc it's down to your motherboard's location of PCI-e slots. You're going to have problems if the top PCI-e slot uses the first expansion bay. On boards like the DFI nF4, the PCI-e 1x, 2x slots take up the first few expansion bays so the graphics card problem is non existant.

Thats my mobo MSI 7046, so do you think you could tell me if it will have any issues in the 900?
 
I'd be tempted to think it would have trouble, since the PCI-e 16x slot uses the top expansion bay.

Ya it will so I know Antec are developing a second version of it but it would be good if anyone knew when it would release? even better if they knew the price.
 
i think gibbo has built a few systems in this case!

Wait for a reply from him, u may be lucy cus thats a popular card and mobo.

Not sure if this helps anyone, but I've just built myself a 900 with a gigabyte DS4, 8800GTS and scythe ninja and everything fits fine with no problems at all. There was also no problem with the positioning of the onboard sound, but I did have a sound card too so it would have been irrelevant for me.
 
i have tuniq tower, 2x7800gtx OC, in this badboy, no problems. you will have to orientate the tower to get the side on but it does go. I wanted the tuniq to exhaust to the top but it cant.... oh well.
 
Heres a picture of mine I got last week with my new Sonic Tower cooler, I have a Thermalright The HR-03 VGA Cooler coming tomoz for the 1900XT 512 :D

May be tight but I'll do it!
