Need some help, I can't work out how to get the big boy fan at the top of the Antec 902 to come out. I've worked out the front part of the case will come off, but seems to connect to the top, so don't want to break anything. I'm thinking maybe all the top bit needs to come off because the grill wont come out unless the fan is pushed out below, but the metal is stopping that from happening.. Any advice?

Had the same problem with my Antec 1200. Took loads of screws out just to find that the last 2 were trapped under the side panel moulding and so were impossible to get out!... GRRRRRRRrrrrr lol I think the Big Boy is assembled into the roof section BEFORE it is pop riveted/ fixed to the sides. :)

Why you want to take the Big Boy out anyway?

Jus to clean the dust out.

So will it be possible to remove it and do I have to pull all the top part off?

Depends on the location of the securing screws! From memory 12 altogether.

use a high pressure air source or canned air it's so much easier and gives great results :)

just one example

Essexraptor it's always seemed expensive for a can of air....just wondering how long they last?? tnx....

Usually just clean the big boy fan with an art type brush myself...(along with the front filters)

I know. I brought a 20 quid electric, plug in, swimming pool pump from a high street catalogue shop and it's dead handy :) and works out cheaper than cans of air over the long term :)

Some people just find cans handier that's all :)

Ah....had a footpump along the same lines....ideas! (previous idea was the wifes hairdryer set to cold, but thinking of static here). Cheers for replying Essex & scuse the slight hijack Yateszy.

i dont think you can take it out without any case modding, just take damp cloth and wipe 1 blade at the time from inside the case. compressed air should take care of the rest.
