Well i just got my new rig. is the huge fan on the top supposed to work ? or is it there for show, because it aint working on mine. i was expecting it to take off when i turned it on but nothing :o

have you connected it ? lol

on the back of the case there a series of switches for fan speed i think u can turn off the 200mm completely so check out the switches.

nope the little switches on the back dont change it, it changes the back ones and the lights, but not the big one :( wonder if they forgot to connect it, im scared of touching it ahaha

its a shame even on the case instructions it doesnt say anything about the fans

yeah depending on what cooler they put on the cpu its an incredible fiddly affair to do with it all set up.

I have the same case and the heatsink fills the area you might need to connect it.

good luck, make sure it unplugged and have a go.

they might have done some good cable management around the back under the motherboard plate so look on the other side panel, not the perspex side.

id open mine to check for you put i fear it would explode because i just squeezed all mine in didn't tie it down neatly :O

jeeze, is the big fan going to effect it much ?, and nah im not touching it if i touch it im sure they wouldnt accept it back if something happend while i as fiddling, and 1300 is a mountain for me, best system ive ever bought by a long shot.

Yes it should work. One of the back switches controls the speed of the rear fan, another the speed of the top fan and another for the top fan LED. (I have one)

ok cheers, another question, on the system information in control panel, where it says the processor speed, if it has been overclocked, should it come up with the overclocked speed on there ?

honestly it should just be as simple as pulling the side plate off and looking for an unconnected molex floating round the case edge.
The top fan is intrisic to how the case dissipates heat and prevents heat wells building, that top fan forces so much air through.

No, mines at 3.6 and Windows still only shows up the stock speeds. Use Coretemp or CPUID or some other program to see the OC speed.

heheh you big girl !

im pretty sure they would have done a really nice and tidy cabling job so as the other guy said you shouldn't fear it, just look for an unconnected molex 4 pinner jobby.

Take off the side panel (non windowed side) ... you are looking for a molex connector (black in colour with red and lack cables) ... is the rear fan working (120mm) ? If so you may find that the builder hasnt connected the rear and top fan molex together to power both ... easy to do mate :)

yep everything else is working, just the top fan

edit: before i made myself look a fool

i see a small black one that is just hanging down, its not very long though, i dont think it would fit

yep they are connected, theres a molex coming from the back fan, and a molex from the big fan on the top, they are both connected to each other with 2 molex, then coming out of the bottom are 2 small black ones which i suspect go onto the mobo, 1 of them is on the mobo the other is just hanging down not connected to anything

Edit, make that 1 small one. but the molex is still connected
