Just curious whether anyone else has put fans in their Antec 902 case to fill up the following:

- 1 side (Optional) 120 x 25mm fan mount.
- 1 middle (Optional) 120mm fan mount.

Now, i know where one optional fan is, the one on the side of the case where you can take the cover off to see within your PC, but where does the other one go? Does it go infront of either of the two front fans?

Bah, should be in case central, nvm.

the second fan fits on the back of one of the 3x 5.25inch caddies. You have to remove it and place it inside the black compartment.

most people don't use the side because they think it'll disrupt the airflow inside the case. On my 1200 I've removed it because I keep on going inside and obviously it has to be off to do so.

So what I've done is installed that fan directly behind the optional fan on the inside. It sort of clips into place on the black fitting and it's wedged against the 24pin power lead on the other side.

Doesn't really make a difference but my cooler is awful

I have no fan in the centre of my case, mainly because my graphics card power cables go outwards, it's a 4890, thus blocking the potential area.

I do, however have the side fan on, in a pull configuration. Doing this dropped my gpu temps by a fair few degrees over a push configuration. It's sat only about an inch from the side of my card, so I think it managed to suck hot air off it quite well, whilst pulling away any hot air rising from my psu underneath.

I don't think it disrupts the cooling of the case in any huge way personally, but I can see why some would think it does.

My 902 has the 2 120mm intakes at the front. 120mm exhaust at the back and bigger exhaust fan out the top.

I put the optional 120mm in at the side as an intake, just to cool my gfx (4890) a little better.

I had to reseat my cpu cooler as it didnt give room for the side fan the way it was seated. So watch out for that.

Other than that great case, plenty of room, looks great and well ventilated.
